| Iron Maiden had three great albums that stood above the rest: Number
of the Beast , Piece of Mind (1983) and Powerslave (1984). I chose
this over the other two because of the fact that it really was the
beginning of that period of greatness and four tunes that really sum
up that greatness. They are: "Number of the Beast", "Hallowed Be Thy
Name", "Run to the Hills" and "Children of the Damned".
		  Piece of Mind
had the very impressive "Flight of Icarus" and "The Trooper", while
Powerslave features "Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner". They are the three
must-own CDs from Iron Maiden. If you're looking for a live album from
Maiden, I'd suggest Live After Death (1985) which happens to contain
mostly material from the three aforementioned studio albums. |
