| Pink Floyd was the ultimate psychedelic band. They had a lot of good
albums but there were what I call "The Great Four". Those were the
four albums I feel were above the rest. Those four albums were: Dark
Side of the Moon (1973), Wish You Were Here (1975), Animals (1977) and
The Wall.  Dark Side of the Moon was in the top 100 in the U.S. for
every week, for 16 years. No other album achieved that. It's quite
possible that no other album ever will. However, the Production on The
Wall is just great. It was one very ambitious project and it's the
best-selling Floyd album of all time.
 This album contains "Comfortably
Numb", "Run Like Hell", "Another Brick in the Wall I, II, & III", "In
the Flesh", "Mother" and more.  Pink Floyd was originally going to put
out a 3-record set for The Wall album but decided instead to go with a
2-record set. What would have been the third record was to become The
Final Cut album (1983). That was also going to be the last Floyd album
but after the breakup, the other three members got back together
without Roger Waters. So I guess the joke was on Roger. All Pink Floyd
is great but the aforementioned four were the best. If you're
searching for just a compilation CD of Floyd, get A Collection of
Great Dance Songs (1981).  Which contains selected songs from the
		  "Great Four".
