|
| This two CD compilation is the only purchase
you should make if you don't intend to buy each individual album
that contributed to it. It's got all of the hits like:
"Break on Through", "Light My Fire",
"People are Strange", "Touch Me",
"Hello I Love You", "Riders on the Storm",
"The End", "L.A. Woman" and more. The Doors
undoubtedly had their own sound and were unique in that they
didn't have a bass player. Instead, Ray Manzarek played the
standard keyoard sounds with the right hand and used another
keyboard and his left hand for the bass sound. Robbie Kreiger
was influenced by flamenco guitar as well as the blues. Throw in
a jazz influenced drummer and one uncontrollable singer and you
have the Doors. You may also want to consider the purchase of Alive
She Cried (1983) if you want a live Doors CD. |
