| The Eagles remain, to this day, one of
the most influential bands from the '70s. Yet, by the time of
their breakup, they had only released 6 studio albums. Of all
their releases, one stands out from the rest. Hotel
California, was the first album featuring Joe Walsh as a
full-time member of the band. And what a change in their sound
it was! Apparently, it was viewed as a change for the better,
since the album fielded three number one hit singles,
"Hotel California", "New Kid in Town"
and "Life in the Fast Lane". But also on this album
you will find other great songs like: "Victim of
Love", "Last Resort" and "Wasted Time".
The album closest to this one is Their Greatest Hits
1971-1975, which is still one of the top selling albums in
the U.S. After that I'd recommend The Long Run (1979). |
