| "Free Bird" is the song that put
Southern Rock on the Map and this is the album it's from! But
this album also contains such great tunes as: "Tuesday's
Gone", "Simple Man", "Poison Whiskey"
and "I Aint the One". Lynyrd Skynyrd defined Southern
Rock. There aren't too many bars where you can go to see a band
where some wise-ass out in the audience doesn't say "Play
Free Bird!" After this album, I'd suggest either Gold
and Platinum (1979) or Skynyrd's Innyrds (1989).
Either compilation CD would be an excellent addition to your CD
Collection and an all-around wise choice. |
