| Yes is another one of those bands where every
member is a brilliant musician. This album is an excellent
compilation where every song clearly demonstrates that
brilliance. The songs that help to convey that brilliance are as
follows: "Roundabout", "I've Seen All Good
People", "Starship Trooper", "Long Distance
Runaround" and "Yours is No Disgrace". After this
compilation CD I'd recommend Fragile
(1972). This is the keyboardist Tony Kaye was replaced by
Rick Wakeman. Prior to that, Tony Kaye was considered by some to
be the weakest link in Yes. This album contains
"Roundabout", "Heart of the Sunrise",
"Long Distance Runaround" and "Mood For a
Day", a great example of Steve Howe's Classical guitar
Virtuosity. Any musician who aspires to have the ultimate band
should own a Yes CD to listen to an example of what that sounds like. |
