Released: 1931 |
| This is the original universal Studio release
featuring Boris Karloff as the Frankenstein Monster. I
always liked Karloff's portrayal of the pieced-together creature.
He really added that special quality that made you feel sorry for
the monster. Of course there were some Frankenstein movies
that made you feel sorry for the viewers. This movie,
though, is an absolute must-buy-right-now
for anyone who loves classic horror movies. It's not scary
at all by today's standards but it's the quality that Karloff's
performance gives to the character that really makes the film.
