When something "shines" it merely emits a sort
of vibe. Well, this particular hotel emits a very bad vibe.
But given the terrible events that have taken place there
throughout the years, there's no wondering as to why it would emit
such evil and scary vibes.
I read somewhere that Stephen King didn't like the idea of Jack
Nicholson being cast as the lead character in the Shining.
I'm sorry Mr. King, but I thought Jack was Brilliant and I'm
certainly not alone in thinking that. Stanley Kubrick's
participation in this film was a nice touch as well. There
are significant differences between the book and the movie but the
movie was great anyway. An absolute gotta-have for that
special horror film enthusiast in your life. |
