This is the Second of a series of three "Man With No Name" movies Eastwood starred in that were directed by Sergio Leone.  In this installment, Clint plays one of two bounty hunters who team up to take on a ruthless bandit named Indio and his gang of outlaws.  One of the best scenes is when Clint has a shooting match with the other bounty hunter (played by Lee Van Cleef).  They sort of shoot each others hats up to show off their shootin'.
Clint's character goes undercover and joins Indio's gang.  Of course, in the end, they discover that he's not really with them but workin' agin' them.  That's where it really starts to get good.
This series of movies started the Spaghetti Western Genre that featured not only a new concept in characters but music that utilized whistling, electric guitars and other elements, creating its own distinctive sound.  This new approach to Western soundtracks escalated composer Ennio Morricone to prominence.  Morricone had eventually gone on to create the scores to over 400 movies.
