What's this  P- I-M-A  Stuff Anyway?
In fingerstyle guitar, the fingers of the picking hand are assigned letters.  They are as follows:
P=Thumb
I=Index
M=Middle
A=Ring Finger
The letters were derived from the Spanish names for the fingers of the picking hand: pulgar (thumb), indice (index), medio (middle), and anular (ring).
