| Animal House was one of the highlights
of the all-to-short career of John Belushi. Though we know
him best from his work on Saturday Night Live, he did have a short
film career before his untimely death. Animal House
is by far the best one he had the opportunity to make.
Animal House basically depicts the usual party atmosphere that
occupies many a college campus and John's character helps to put
the Animal into Animal House. Since the making of
this movie, a lot of other films have come along that have
attempted to bank on many of the elements used in the creation of
this film. A lot of college fraternity and party movies
conveniently borrowed some of Animal House's ideas.
These ideas where original at the time of the release of the movie
but have since become clichés. Though many of the ideas have
since been overplayed, I must still recommend the original source. |
