| It's good to be the king. You can find
out why as you watch this movie. That particular line is
spoken throughout the movie by Mel brooks himself as he plays the
part of the king during the French Revolution. Mel demonstrates
how good life as the king could be when you have absolutely no
self control but, at the same time, have the power to get away
with it. There are a number of historical time periods that
are poked fun at in this film: The Stone Age, the Roman Empire,
the French Revolution and the Spanish Inquisition. The movie
also enlists the talents of: Sid Caesar, Gregory Hines,
Madeline Kahn, Harvey Korman and more. Funny stuff. |
