| The psychiatrist is normally expected to cure
the patient but in What About Bob the patient drives the
psychiatrist to the point of insanity. Bill Murray plays the
part of a therapy patient named Bob Wiley, a man who fears just
about everything! Richard Dreyfuss plays a noted
psychiatrist, Dr. Leo Marvin, who just can't seem to get so much
as one moment of peace. Dreyfuss' character can't even go on
vacation with his family without having the troubled patient
follow him. The doctor tries every means he can think of to
shake off the annoying Bob but not only does he fail in his
attempts to get rid of him, he loses his own mind in the process.
The interaction between the two actors is what makes this film so
funny. |
