| Here's where a luxury liner roles over and
plays dead. After being hit by a massive title wave, the
ship still manages to stay afloat. Upside down that is!
The passengers are then forced to go to the bottom of the ship,
which is now above them, to try to get to safety. All while
the ship is sinking. There are so many great performances on
the part of the actors in this film that you can't point to any
one of them as being so far above the rest. We're talking
brand-name actors too! Gene Hackman, Ernest Borgnine,
Shelley Winters, Red Buttons, Roddy McDowall, Jack Albertson and
more! This is one of the absolute best of the disaster
genre, if not the best. But that's just my humble opinion. |
