| The movie starts out at
the dawn-of-mankind, where a bunch of monkeys are fighting and one
finally comes up with the brilliant idea to use a blunt instrument to
club another to death. What an amazing and innovative idea!
Then we fast forward to the space age where a space station's onboard
computer, the HAL 9000, decides how it doesn't want to take orders from
the crew anymore. Man no longer controls the technology he created
but that technology now has complete control over his life. You
know, the life-support systems and all. My how far we've come
since the invention of the aforementioned blunt bludgeoning instrument.
It's a definite bummer dude, but a cool concept never-the-less. |
