| I had to pick out at least one Star Trek movie
because of Star Trek's impact on the Science fiction genre.
In my opinion, most of the Star Trek Movies are downright boring,
so it's very easy to spot a good one when you see it.
First Contact is one of the best Star Trek movies, if not the
best. At least in my humble opinion. In First
Contact, the evil-rotten Borg's attempt to invade Earth's past
and alter history to assimilate the entire earth's population into
their twisted, demented collective. However, the crew from
the Next Generation TV series are fixin to stop them. Of
course, as you would expect, the Star Trek crew prevails in the
end. At the end of the movie, the Earth's citizens meet the
Vulcans for the first time. Hence the "First contact" part
of the title. You have your Next Generation regulars like
Patrick Stewart, Jonathan Frakes, Brent Spiner and the rest. James
Cromwell also stars in a very entertaining role. Lots of
action in this one. |
