| This is a good deal. Not only do you get
two movies on a DVD for the price of one, but they're good ones
too. Not at all like the ones you see in most retailers
bargain bins. The transitions from human to fly in both
movies are great. In the first movie, Jeff Goldblum
plays a nerdy scientist who sort of goofs up when working on his
latest invention. He sort of splices his own genetic makeup
with that of the common housefly. Jeff's character, Seth
Brundle, slowly becomes a human-fly combo by the name of brundle-fly.
All to the horror of his girlfriend (played by Geena Davis).
In the sequel, Eric Stoltz is Brundle's genetically diseased
offspring who kind of follows in his pappy's footsteps. The
makeup and effects in both movies are excellent but the personal
touches provided by Jeff Goldblum are a big plus. |
