| Long before Arnold ever even thought of
becoming the Governor of California, he was the Terminator.
This is the movie that made Schwarzenegger into an international
superstar. Sent to earth from the future, Arnold plays a
Cyborg (part man-part machine) whose mission is to kill a woman
whose son (not yet born) will play a prominent role in Earth's
future. Linda Hamilton plays Sarah Connor, just the person
he is sent to do away with. Michael Biehn plays the guy that
is also sent from the future but aims to stop the terrible Cyborg
killer dude from hell. The effects are still great by
today's standards and the story was still somewhat original.
The effects got better with each sequel but the plot not
necessarily so. All of the films in the series are well
worth seeing but the first on is still the best because of its
originality. |
