I personally believe that this is the best movie Kevin
Costner has done since Dances with wolves.
Costner's character is a free grazer just attempting to pass
through some territory on his way to wherever, but just doesn't
quite get there. A local land baron tries to steal his cattle, kills his friend and his dog,
and just makes his life miserable. The movie climaxes with one
helluva gunfight. Annette Bening plays the part of t he town's
doctor's sister, who just so happens to catch Costner's eye. |
