| What happens when you tell your
buddies that you're going for ammo and get distracted by a warm
cup of coffee? Well, for starters, you take too long, they
run out of ammo in the meantime and you come back to find them in
the foxhole dead. But don't let hard-as-nails Sergeant
Stryker (played by John Wayne) find out about your little goof-up.
John Wayne got his only Oscar for his part in this movie. It
was well deserved and even though he plays the part of a real
tough guy, you still can't help but like the guy in the end. |
